  • I am the sand that pours down the hour glass awaiting to know if I'm half empty or half full, i am usurped by the power of time...

Getting Maried

This woman, this man,
represent love & together they stand...
They turn to face eachother,
It's his turn to speak,
He doesn't remember what he wrote,
So from his heart the words leek...

"I need not a single word, but only your hand,
That I may secrete my vows with this wedding band..."
"I vow to protect you, and cheat you not,
disrespect you never, or destroy the love that we got..."
"Even in sickness and within health,
I'll cherish each momment of breath that you dealth..."
"I met a woman who changed my life,
I'm marrying that angel, who I now call my wife.."

This woman, this man,
represent love & together they stand...
still they face eachother,
now it's her turn to speak,
in a language of tears, and comprehension of years,
the congregation sits on silence...

"For the man that you are, for the one I need you to be,
for the man that your not, the man I wish everyone else could see..."
"You have my heart, you have my mind,
my eyes are only for you, to the world im blind..."
"I dont need richer, I dont need poor,
I'm happy in the pits of hell or across the shore..."
"I will follow you, as you are my leader,
my provider, my lover, better yet my teacher..."
"I submit to you, someone who is much more than a friend,
as I slide this ring unto you, I'm honored to present you, my husband..."

This woman, this man
represent love & together they stand...
Now facing me, I approve of this momment,
you may now kiss your bride, you have now become one...
She is your wife, and he is your husband,
My you be fruitful, but stay less then a dozen...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
