    Futile

This pain is burried deeper than the scrutinizing gaze of your loved ones
This pain soars higher than the most expensive weed can lift you
This pain stretches farther than the bottle can carry you
But still you trudge on, not wanting others to know how you feel
In the end it is futile...
For when you see her you cannot stop a tear from silently creeping down your cheek
Or a gasp escape your mouth that only reasults in a whimper
You want to cry out that she broke more than your heart, she broke your soul
In the end it is futile...
You then realize all you can do is watch in horror as she tells you she just wants to be friends
You then realize all you can do is wish her the best of luck in her life
Everyone can see it, love torn from a virgin heart
In the end it is fultile...

having your heart broke is not a good thing but you tell the story with class thanks for letting me read your poem

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
