Fury of Abuse

Ignited, diffuse
Flames rise in the child
The fire burns, soars
As heat sears the heart
Ashes fly, sprinkled with light
Crimson falls
An amber glow transcends emotions
Silently, tears come to cool - to calm
Drop by drop
Drowning the blaze
Cleansing the soul
As the fire dies, smoke dances
Obscured through the mist
Crimson flickers
Beneath the cloud, cinders crackle
Feeling's seethe
Burning rekindles, in the depths of the spirit
It leaves the heart raw, its form branded
What remains in the soul smolders
Lingers
Seducing an innocent child's heart
To endure the shame

Wow...this really brings up alot of emotion. I know this. Great writing.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
