Ending the Masquerade
we're dancing to this jolly tune
we step in turn with the rythem
the ball in full swing
a mask on every face
but I am tired of dancing to the same sleepy tune
I have lost my footing but I am not the fool
you stand there pretending as if this will never end
but the toll is sounded and we must leave ending the Masquerade
I know who you are with out your mask, and my face is not the same
we are much to old now to be playing this childish game
we make a move then hesitate our timing off, always late
and I am tired of spinning round and round and dressing up
like a carnival clown
well the truth is stranger than fiction
but what truth can be found here
amoung the lies of theives and pirates
none can be found
so let the music play on ward if it provides the means
to live this dance one more time and not fall from off our feet
but the mightnight toll has sounded the ball must now end
the masks come off the truth reveiled and we must leave ending the Masquerade.
