Bring the Rain

I felt the rain today
it felt so far away
deep down in side of me
I thought I saw it rain

but the sun was shining bright
I wished for the night
cause if its not going to rain
then at least they wont see me cry

and the tears are falling down like rain drops
and I don't know what it takes to make them stop
but I don't want the sun to shine behind my eyes
and deep inside, its raining deep down inside

I felt the wind blow
I wished that I could go
be free and leave this place
soaring on the breeze

but I fear I'd fall, and then I'd lose it all
and so I sit here still wishing I could go

I saw the ocean tide
it's current deep and wide
I waded out to sea, and let the waves take me
some place far away to a warm sunny place
where life lives peacefully, oh its my tropical dream

but I can't go its just to far I know
and who will be there with me if I left them all
so here I sit at night
wishing on shooting stars hoping the clouds will roll
and bring the rain.
