Dream
I don't want to dream about what could have been
My own flesh and blood seeping slowly through my pen
The paper cannot hold the weight of this internal pain
The very core of my efforts offer no gain
Your eyes hold no comparison to that of crystalline glass
Making shivers run down my spine as I sit in class
I don't want to think about how much I miss you
Have you been losing sleep over the memories of us, too?
Are your eyes red with lack of sleep? Or of peace?
Baby, come back, hold me, and make the nightmares cease
I don't want to dream anymore
My own flesh and blood seeping slowly through my pen
The paper cannot hold the weight of this internal pain
The very core of my efforts offer no gain
Your eyes hold no comparison to that of crystalline glass
Making shivers run down my spine as I sit in class
I don't want to think about how much I miss you
Have you been losing sleep over the memories of us, too?
Are your eyes red with lack of sleep? Or of peace?
Baby, come back, hold me, and make the nightmares cease
I don't want to dream anymore
