    dream

    Before night's darkness
    slips into light
    hold fast
    to the silent moment
    now presented,
    the depthless beauty,
    a soul tormented.
    Quiet, quiet,
    all is hush
    into waiting arms propelled
    until the holy truth unveiled
    reveals the dark night,
    Abrahams travails,
    his covenant
lying on the altar of man.
    Surrendered just in time
    his life, his love
    returning to wholeness
    again and again
    for the children
    of Moriah

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
