desperation
i am a generous soulbut no one is in line for the taking
that befuddles me
but i know why
because i am in need
and no one is coming forward
that way, no takers, no givers.
desperation
i am a generous soulA poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
