at one's end
i can't take it anymoreit's becoming too much
where is my karma
i'm not feeling the love
i've done everything right
there is no reward
family won't help
friends won't help
what does one do
when there is nothing left?
at one's end
i can't take it anymorecalifornia commented on at one's end

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
