Character flaws
Character flaws
I could wait
But I wouldn’t be any more prepared if I did
I look around and wonder
Who’s setting the example for whom?
And now that I have time to sit and really think about it
Age never really played that big a part in the matter at all
Who we are
How or if we ever decide to evolve is all about
A choice that we decide to make or not make
Life is the teacher and I watched him explode
From the weight of it all
Brooding like black faced demons
Heaving and heavy like Hell coming to condemn in a day
We all want to believe that we are perfectly flawless and beautiful and wonderful
and incapable of being consistently negative
because we are “good”
and could never be the “they’s” the others say they arent
The ones who are arrogant, or conceited, or liars, or thieves or murderers, or just not good people
That we are exempt instead
And enlightened
But if I were just being honest
I would confess that I too am a product of my own sins
Cursed and plagued by all that haunts me
That I am a human and I exist in the realm of every hypocrisy that ever existed among us
