Carve My Heart

  • SPRING BREAK IS OVER NOW SO I WON'T BE ON AS MUCH

Carve My Heart

Frozen wasteland
Soaring higher
Living freely
Fuel the fire
Watch it clawing higher, higher

Burning plains
Falling lower
Live condemned
Rolling over
Falling down, lower, lower

Shallow grave
Moving faster
Rotting leaves
Obey the master
Leave behind, faster, faster

Mountain caverns
Crawling slower
Sprouting trees
You’ll never know her
Coming closer, slower, slower

Broken hills
Filled with plaster
Money sheaves
Will not last her
Fill her heart with plaster, plaster

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
