Cancersticks
Cigarettes,
Smoking,
Light it up and drag on it,
Burns your lungs and makes you cough,
Yellows everything it touches even your soul,
Sickness and cancer runs among it,
Can’t catch the next breath but it demands another huff,
Loss of those you care about and blocks you from things cherished most,
Costs outweigh the calm felt and money is just the beginning,
A right slowly losing its appeal world-wide despite it’s great demand,
Some see it as a curse and others use it to revolt against what is expected of us,
A lesson even the most intelligent of us can’t always learn,
An illogical and irrational habit one seems to pursue despite it’s hindrance to life.
