    BROKEN

    WHAT A PRICE WE PAY
      WHEN WE BETRAY
        OURSELVES...

    OUR SOULS LEFT COLD
    OUR MINDS ONCE SWIFT
      BARELY TICK
      TO THEIR OWN NATURAL BEAT

    WE'RE LEFT
      TRYING TO FOLLOW LEADERS
WE HAVE NO DESIRE TO FOLLOW
    ALL BECAUSE WE'VE ALLOWED OURSELVES
ONCE TOO OFTEN TO BE LEAD
        TO BE BED WITH STRANGERS
      WHO OFFER NOTHING
        YET SUCK US DRY...
          LEFT NAKED
          STRIPPED OF EVERYTHING...
            CRYING ONCE AGAIN
            FOR OUR MOTHER'S MILK

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
