Bittersweet Memories...

I'm falling hard, I'm falling fast. I beg you to catch me quickly, and make this obnoxious spinning quick. If you do this the world will come to hault. And Once again clarity will shine its way through. If you don't I'll smack into the ground and lay there hurt staring at the empty sky. Eventually within time I'll dust myself off, and take a look around. I may even become dizzy and sit back down. Soon I'll learn how to walk and I'll learn how to climb, without your assistance, and maybe one day even learn how to fly. But right now I'm half way up or maybe I'm half way down. The entire time I climbed you were there by my side. Somehow I slipped, or maybe we both did. But please while you're still in reach take my hand. So together we may climb this mountain of life.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
