Are you okay?

Poem Commentary

Really bored this was really bad but it was inspired by my mom at the dinner table.

Are you okay?

Are you okay?

Ya I am fine.

Are you sure?

Yes, I am sure, but are you okay?

No I am not.

Are you lonely?

No I am not lonely, are you lonely?

Yes, I am lonely.

Are you sad?

I have no reason, are you sad?

Yes I am sad.

Are you sane?

Why would I not be?

Because me and you are the same!

You are not fine thats why you made me.

You are not sure thats why I out lined it.

You are lonely thats why I stayed.

You are sad because you make me ungay.

You are not sane because you are still speaking to me.

And this is just because we are one.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
