Angels To Me
A few weeks ago I was a face without a smile
Always the one in the back like a cold case file
Everytime I laughed I was so ashamed
Pretending it didn't hurt when people called me names
Some people call me pumpkin some say I look like a witch
I laughed at the jokes inside I was a clock that couldn't tick
Then all of a sudden an Angel somehow appeared
I could barely speak to him I was whiping away my tears
Before I knew it I was walking through his door
Then other Angels appeared as I walked across the floor
Angels who didn't know me and all the while
They weren't here to make fun of me they wanted to help me smile
I looked at them and wondered if they really know
How much their appreciated and how much they helped me grow
I walked away and realized I'll be myself again
I stopped to help an old man the next day I made a friend
You gave me back a part of my life because I had no style
You'll always be Angels to me because you gave me back my smile
