You're The Reason I Smile
You're The Reason I Smile
So distant are the echoes of yesterdays long gone pain,
I remember the days I was left standing alone in the rain.
Yet today is filled with brightness before I never knew,
All because I found out there was someone just like you.
An angel in all your glory so divine and always true,
A woman of sweet passion you have found your way through.
Now the sun is shining in the heart that used to cry,
My soul is free to celebrate as into the heavens I fly.
You're the reason I smile-You're the reason I can laugh,
Tomorrow holds much hope and yesterday's an old photograph.
You're the reason I smile-You're the reason I can care,
For I know throughout eternity you will always be there.
Words to show my thankfulness are much too hard to express,
I'm overflowing with elation from your tender sweet caress.
In my life I travelled the roads of sorrow and I fell,
Yet somehow you found me and lifted me from my world of hell.
You're the reason I smile-You're the reason I can dream,
You have rejuvinated a spirit that used to silently scream.
You're the reason I smile-You're the reason I that I can see,
You have given me the faith to believe in my destiny.
