Living In a Heartache
Living in a heartache
It's a state of emergency-You are living in mental shock,
Yesterday drifts away as into the unknown tomorrow you walk.
Fear is only an illusion-yet in your pain it's hard to see,
Love came a calling-but you thought it just couldn't be.
She tore your world in two-She left you quite a mess,
You forgot how to reach for your inner happiness.
Drifting in and out of reality you're in between the scenes,
Remembering her beauty-How she looked in stonewash jeans.
Living in a heartache-You are worlds from the love you knew,
So empty is the soul that now abides inside of you.
Living in a heartache-You've nowhere left you can turn,
Confused by her departure-you're feeling the royal burn.
The wheels were set in motion-It turned you inside out,
You never really understood what love was all about.
Yet you found out how painful good byes could be,
The memories still linger as you try so hard not to see.
Living in a heartache-On the mountain of despair,
It was too hard to handle finding out she didn't care.
Living in a heartache-It's such emotional poverty,
The truth was revealed-She was a one Year fantasy.
