Perfect Alibi
Perfect Alibi
You think you can fool everyone with a crazy disguise,
acting like life for you is one big paradise.
Yet your eyes reveal the story of a lonely guy,
anyone can see it clear your head is in the sky.
How long can you face the heat in your lonely state,
with your imagination in control of how you relate.
Everyone sees hard times and everyone feels pain,
trying to hide your emotions is much too insane.
You say you're shooting for the stars in the sky,
and you think you've got the perfect alibi.
How can you with hold all the tears you cry,
No one really believes in your perfect alibi.
Why lie to yourself it leads to misery,
You should try to accept life for what it can be.
Every day's not bright yet neither is it gloom,
There are no hidden answers in an empty room.
Just to pass the time away you act like you're shy,
and you're not really happy in your perfect alibi.
Why must you think that you're oh so sly,
Anyone can see the sorrow-it's no perfect alibi.
