You can never hate
i need to feel your warmth again
while you were gone so long
i worried, with good reason
i knew you would stay gone
so far away your soul seems
but why, i'll never know
i can no longer feel your touch
my pulse begins to slow
i feel the cold of death
blanketing me so tight
the tears roll down my cheeks
continuing into the night
you say 'i love you'
but i know it's a lie
i so much feel like screaming
'why can't you just die?'
you begin to step away
but i see you hesitate
for i know you can't regret
i know you can never hate
while you were gone so long
i worried, with good reason
i knew you would stay gone
so far away your soul seems
but why, i'll never know
i can no longer feel your touch
my pulse begins to slow
i feel the cold of death
blanketing me so tight
the tears roll down my cheeks
continuing into the night
you say 'i love you'
but i know it's a lie
i so much feel like screaming
'why can't you just die?'
you begin to step away
but i see you hesitate
for i know you can't regret
i know you can never hate
