With All My Love, Heart, and Soul

    You.
    Traitor. Forgetter.
    Mean nothing anymore.
    Have lost yourself.
    Have lost me.
    Never.
    Again will I fall
    For your traps, snares, illusions.
    Again will you be –
    Loved.
    The world, now it is
    Full of Hate, Resentment, Heartlessness.
    Cold. Lonely. Dead.
    Me.
Is gone, buried in the sand
    Of time, pain,
    Years of selflessness.
    Is never to be seen
    By you.
    – again.
    – again.
    – again.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
