    That Day

    Walking on the ground,
    I was tied down.
I was not in the air,
    But I flew that day.

    I held your hand.
Did you feel its gentle hold?
    I gazed into your eyes.
    Did you see them shine?

I tried to steal your heart,
But you kept it locked away.
    Was it always destiny
For us to stay this way?

I spoke with you for hours.
    Did you hear my words?
    I was screaming love,
But I guess you never heard.

Although it was only one day,
The memories are always here to stay.
Never again will it feel that way,
Because it was my heart that flew that day.

I'm so sorry. I'm really really sorry. I never meant to hurt you. I just.. know in the future, we could more likely have a better chance with this then, rather than now.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
