    Winds of change

    I sway where I sway
    When the wind blows
My resolve waivers and recessed shadow memories creep from the crevasses of my mind.

    I go where I go,
    When the wind blows,
My patience wears and bottled emotions flare out of control from volcanic depths within my manic soul.

    I soar where I soar,
    When the wind blows,
My heart trembles and all the pain of time slows upon immortal wings as my spirit surfs by on sonic waves of my chaotic life.

    I lie where I lie,
    When the wind blows,
My vision blurs and cloud with images of innocent bliss to my first kiss as cold judgment blankets aching bones and an aging body sleeps eternal a forgotten fossil come full circle.

Where I am and how did I get here?
Where have I been and what have I done to be where I am today?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
