    Infatuated

    Infatuated,
My attentions caught, my breath snatched and my hearts stolen.

    Infatuated,
My bloods pumping, my heart thumping and my goose bumps bumping.

    Infatuated,
My breaths lost, my taste gone and my hearings deaf.

    Infatuated,
My senses numb, my feelings burn and my emotions scattered.

    Infatuated,
My sights held hostage, my hearts held captive and my thoughts held restless.

    Infatuated,
My touch soft, my hold firm and my love true.

    Infatuated,
Your touch is ecstasy, your hold heavenly and your love imaginary.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
