    Wind Walking

I do go about at night
    Walking on the wind
    Gliding past the earthly rest
    Chained to rock and limb

It is I and only I
    Who rides the waves unseen
Stretched out arms control the flow
    Of currents over me

    Flying ultra silent planes
    Helps me see below
To gain a better focused look
    And know the knowing knows

For bound to terra firma should
    Make me feel at peace
But sailing arms and open sky
    Help me know I'm free

There I stand above the clouds
    Supported by the wind
    Weightless, want-less spirit
    In touch with all within

One day when this body goes
    I'll disperse among the sky
But for now I must dream
The thrill for me to fly

The early morning comes too soon
    I must bring her down
    Tomorrow is another day
    For me to fly around

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
