Will You Ride The Bus?

Will You Ride The Bus?

Have you ever thought about riding the bus; any bus, local, school, or tour bus? I am sure that thought pass everyone's mind a couple times when the gas prices started to rise. But you never did, you continue on living, paying higher prices, but we all survived.

Maybe that was our detour sign to get all of us to face the real situation on hand. We all had the chance to ride the bus; we all could have had an opportunity to experience a host of different things. But most importantly we could have had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Trees, flowers, mother-nature at work, the different people, a chance to catch up on your reading, puzzle books, knitting or whatever that relaxes your mind without the stress of sitting in rush hour traffic jams coming and going.

God has all intentions for us to live a stressful life and to be free of debt and trouble. This world that we now know is crying out for help and he keeps placing road blocks in front of us and some kind of way we just keep climbing, going around them and with each step, we arrive back at the bus stop and refuse to ride the bus. We take a look at the idea of getting up, walking to the bus stop, waiting for the bus, riding the bus with strangers and then having to walk to our destination.

Just stop and think about it. Riding the right bus, may lead you to a better life. After you pay your fare, just sit back and let him take you on your journey. Believe in him and stop believing in these politicians, news reporters, business owners, bankers, money makers. We have placed our hopes, dreams, and future into the hands of people that just make promises after promises; and at the end it's still the same. BROKEN. I don't recall anyone ever asking me what I think should be done, so how do they know what I want. But so many of us are willing to follow, because it sounds good, or it's better than what we have. I don't know about you....but I am riding the bus. Don't keep me wrong, God made all men and women, but at the same time he made common sense.

I leave you today with this thought. "Did you pay your fare and will you ride the bus?"

Nice, way to take an everyday action and connect it to a way to have more time withe God! You also take that same everyday action and you link it to our econmy.

More prose or essay than poetry, but I liked your thoughts. It's a whole different world when you take it slowly.

Thanks for the feedback and yes, when you take it slow things look a lot different and makes a lot more sense.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
