We Crucified Our Lord -written by Ernestine Lee

They handed Jesus over, betrayed by Judas that day
He was giving to the officers, Our Jesus went away
They took our Lord jesus, the truth they did not know
They scorned Him with false judgement,
and put Him there on show
They whipped our Lord Jesus, spit on Him with scorn
Soldiers planted on His head, a hallo made from thorns
They put a robe upon Him, told in the scriptures true
The soldiers cast lots for it , from dice that they threw
They whipped and misused Him, Pilate said, " Be
hold this man"
But the people called to Pilate, " to crucify that man"
With the pass over customs, Jesus could have been set free
But according to the scriptures, this wasn't meant to be
The people called to Pilate, with a demanding scout,
crucify Lord Jesus christ , and let Barrabus out
Jesus bared the cross,he suffered along the way
Along the road to calvery they suffered Dear Jesus that day
Pilate wrote a title for all the world to view
It read Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews
In the ninth hour Jesus was crucified
His garments the soldiers took
Fulling Gods scriptures , as was told in Gods good
Book

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
