    Watering the Flame I

    Sorrowful moments in
    the blissful reminisce
    of impure happiness.
    Although once in
    this lustful life
    being led into
    the depths of love.
    Deceiving the heart
    the fire spreads
    to corrupt the mind,
    because there
    is no recognition
    from the water
    to set the flame
    at ease.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
