    Soulful Depths

    Look in these eyes,
    I know you see
    the colors.
    Now look past
    the pupil and
    into the soul.
    Hidden beneath
    a hard shell
    the soft soul
    gleams and tells
    the stories of
    one man's past
    and reveals the
    layers of his
    dreams.

Very short and to the point. I like the creativity with the centering of your words.

Wow, I really like your style. Are you in Iraq now?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
