Warfare

Warfare rising

With hopes of causing pain

 Daily seeking to destroy

Feeling your miserable way

Trapping fears among as many as possible

Plans to set you up in failure

Blueprints for despair

Warfare you cannot enter

Our foreheads displays the mark

Our houses now stained in chrisom

We stand firm on the path of righteousness

Fruits of our labor; fruits of the spirit

No prosperous road for the enemy to travel

See warfare you are engulfed

In your own game

As you stagger, searching for relief

Warfare

You are your own enemy

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
