Unnamed

rolling thunder through my bones, aches of long ago..
another year has come to pass..with the highest mountains still within the hour glass..
can't climb and conquer, and stop and admire..
can't cool the flames, without ignited fire..
another year, draws to an end..quiet retreat, more for friends..
no steam from breath, no breathing to tame..
a simple smile shared between, with words kept hidden away..
another year as one, but two indeed..
passions prison, locked away where no one else can see..
loves desire, loves cruel intent..
another year has come and gone, I know not where it went...

Sounds as if the demands of life is stealing and putting a wedge between a couple. The flow and descriptions were wonderfully done.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
