Underlining Meaning

I look up into the cool night starry sky
I see the white, shinning, lit stars staring eagerly back at me.
I see it leap quickly across the sky; a fiery shooting star
and having a meaningful feeling of knowing success in this beautiful life isn't far.

Though I trifle with these tremendous emotions
I try to ride the waves like a surfer on the ocean.
Knowing instead of the rapid energy setting me free
that these powerful waves might only hinder me.

My truth is as bright or blinding as the sun which is thy star.
It can direct me correctly in life
or the journey I take can leave a scar.

I realize.

There will always be deception of lies
but our perception of attitude is where it truly lye's.
Events will unfold
like the changing current of a river that will flow
or like the weather that can't be controlled.
But if we understand that attitude is everything
then we can handle pretty much anything.

I picture what I want in life
and I have the control of my hand to paint it.
I am the passionate creator.
I am the courageous destroyer.
I am the gorgeous lover.
I am the jealous hater.
I am my best friend.
I am my worst enemy.
I can choose to be the notorious victor
or I can choose to be the apathetic loser.

But if I know I am my attitude
and my attitude is me.
Then I choose to be:
the passionate creator, gorgeous lover, and inspirational being
that I have discovered and deserve to be.
