Twenty Years.

Twenty Years.

You know how I Struggle,
You know how I think.
I could lay on this floor for Hours
To think of Everything you've never said
I contemplate my thoughts,
Your thoughts,
And why it's Still the same
Over twenty years now,
And You haven't changed a thing.

I love this. The rhythm, flow, and thought are all on point. I know the feeling that the other person is standing still while you are moving and progressing. Great write.......E

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
