Trying to love her damage heart
Trying to love her damage heart
Will prove to be more work then
You’d ever dream of
One man you’ve never met
Left it a mess
So now she stands in protective mode
When you pull close to her
She’ll look for a place to run
Dig deep for a reason as she hides
You’ll tell her you love her
She won’t believe you
Taking a breath saying nothing
Last forever, everyone seems to
Find a reason to say good-bye
Break your heart while your
Left to pick up the parts
As you look in to those eyes
Past a wounded soul
You know there’s a tiered heart
Just wanting to let go
Be love again with out restrictions
Time to Time when she drops her walls
Steps in to your views for a moment
Or two
The real woman in her appears Undamaged
She’ll leave you stand still breathless
To how much love and beauty that shines
From with in her appears
Looking in to the eyes of you
Her eyes have a glow in them
One heart she’s wearing on her sleeve
To show you it still bleeds
As she places it in your hand for a minute
Or two just to show you
Then something kicks in as she quickly
Puts it away up go her walls
Once again you know where your place
Is standing next to her
As the trust slowly fades away tucking
Her heart away
Protecting her Damage heart
Scared, worried, lonely all lay with in her
But waiting on the one who can break threw
To her
In her mind a damage heart that’s looking
Up at you
With one question in her mind
“Is he strong enough to be her man?
Trying to love her damaged heart
