To My Brother
Remember you took me to see Lady Bugs, haven't had a time so dear.
Thank you for teaching me how to be strong,
though in the past, I acted queer.
just wanted to remind you,
that I did not forget.
Just wanted to say thank you,
No. I have no regrets.
Life needs a a big ol', giant hug,
It's up to you to see the good.
Do you brood and not move on?
Without guidance, it's not understood.
Relaxing through the method of song,
hiding pain through a semi-smile.
The Earth keeps spinning all day long.
You turn around, no longer a child,
These things happen to everyone.
Yet generations never change,
All energy's provided by the sun.
Yet we pray for an electric range,
contradiction from the word of God.
Will, by the power of choice.
It's like the matrix - just a facade,
hidden truth by the human voice.
Intelligence powered by the fuel to learn,
wisdom comes with age.
How do you stop fire,
in a soul that burns?
The answer's different on every page.
