The Sound of The Earth
Forget the fact we don't love ourselves, enough to save the world.
At least think about your children's kids,
our future boys and girls.
It's sad enough to thin about,
selling oxygen for a bid.
No clean water, no clean air,
because of what we did.
Think about the controversy,
behind wanting cleaner life.
Should that not be an automatic thing,
like wanting the best for your wife?
Close your eyes and picture the world,
full of nothing but heat.
The heat of anger, the heat of hate,
because we would not have a seat.
A seat on a bicycle, a seat on the train,
save the gas and ride the bus.
Meet new people you'll never see again.
Overcrowded?
Don't make a fuss.
Take to heart that we together,
can help to save a tree.
One by one, we'll build a forest
with love and unity.
Take to heart that if we don't change,
what we now know, will cease.
Temperatures have now been rearranged,
from cold to drastic heat.
I can taste the different chemicals,
that are being put in my food.
If I mention, the government's wrong,
then my goodness - I'm being rude.
All I'm asking is to be aware,
don't waste because you can.
All connected through what we share,
from smoke to acid rain.
One day I hope to own a farm and eat the things I grow.
So, wake up people can you hear the alarm?
The earth is asking for help you know.
