Through and Through
Through the darkness,
Breath is still.
My hands, they tremble.
Afraid to feel.
To feel the tears fall from my face.
Shadows dance,
Exquisite grace.
Through the window,
Comes the moon.
Light once comforting,
Now so dim.
I need to find the light within.
But darkness pulls and tugs at me.
From all directions,
I'm stretched so thin.
I close my eyes,
Clench my hands.
My thoughts of you,
My only friends.
But even friends,
Have come to fade.
Through and through.
