    The Warriors Heart

Two warriors about to engage in battle star t each other face to face.
Neither really knows why there supposed to hate.
For hate is what it takes to end a life
Both have chldren and a wife.Had thesetwo meant in any other
place they miht find they are mre alike and smile and walk away.
Or perhaps they would set down and share a pint . Or listen
to music and smoke a joint. But alas here the stand with there
battle swords drawn. There hands are shaking for as one falls one will move on. But will forever dream of the fallin warriors fate and wonder
why love isnt stronger than hate. It baffles th mind but has always been
In this game called war does anyone really ever win? But a warrior is taught that service and honor are all that we have...But were all so much more and this thought makes me sad. But what if just once these to warriors simply asked why? befor blood wasspilled and somebody died. Maybe the answers would scream like gabriel horn. and each
would return to there families unharmed. But they say that warswill always be,when the othr solution is agree do disagree. The causes
are many and to some justified but there is only one who really is suppose to deciede. Bu the desire to please in the warrior is strong
so he swings his sword and quetly moves on. when the battle field is silent he can hear the cries of the fallen but never forgotten, who were
left there to die. and the warriors heart grows weary from the burdennd shame,He curses the day that the word war became more than  a name

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
