    The Real You

    Why can’t I stop

    thinking of you?

    You overtake my mind

    when all I want

    is to be left alone.

    Your face haunts my vision.

It’s all I see when I close my eyes.

    Your name is always on

    the tip of my tongue,

    yearning to be said aloud.

Your voice is all I hear,

    there is never silence.

    Whenever you are mentioned,

my heart beats out of control.

    This all needs to stop.

    I can’t keep on living

    with you invading my everything.

    “Leave me alone!” I scream.

But I know you will not listen.

Because what isn’t real doesn’t respond.

You are only in my mind,

for the real you will never acknowledge

    that I’m even alive.

Owwwooow! i've been there many times! Theres that one person who won't let you go, won't leave you alone though they know not of your existance

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
