    The Proud One

He is tall proud and caring
She is  young her anger flaring
wronged her he did oh so badly
She hates him for it fully
Every once in a while he sees the light
But in three days she lets it turn to blight
Forgiveness and love is what he wants
While she would love to deliver a punch
He cries inside for the things gone bad
She hates him for things undone
He needs her in his arms always
But forever will she stay away
Till he learns something he is yet to know
She has forgiven him but chances are slim
    He is forgiving
    She is not
    She is his beauty
    While he is a beast
He fears he loses her each time she does it
She always thinks of things gone bad
And makes her insane boyfriend sad

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
