    The Price

Find me lost among my memories
    confused but not dazed
only slightly amazed, to find that my life has not changed.
    Still it has struggle and to double my troubles;
anothers life I am partially responsible for.
Tell me how this could be, how could it be up to me?
I'm too young for all of this.
A generation has been lost and I'm add to the statistcs.
Go to war to get to school.
The programed thoughts of many fools.
Become a hated hero, in the name of greed.
You may find yourself angry because you don't really know what I mean.
I can run miles, swim lakes, desguise myself as a bush! I can hit a living target without my morales being shook.
Many don't agree with all the lives that we took.
But the reasons that I do it, is because I can't afford books.
    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
With it's streets paved in gold.
40 rounds is my war cry, because that's what my clip holds.
But at night I cry inside because this is not my home, and my brothers won't make it back to see how their kids have grown.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
