the other side of pain
OTHER SIDE OF PAIN
I can’t explain this feeling it's driving me insane.
It's hard to cope I'm counting on hope from the other side of pain.
It’s commonly known as addiction and it's freezing me like ice.
You have no clue what I'm going through and I've surly paid a price.
I've seen things that I'll never forget I've done things just as bad.
The pain runs deep it haunts me in my sleep it's enough to drive a grown man mad.
I've seen bodies on the ground of Iraqis I have slain
It plays over in my brain again and again the other side of pain.
Society calls it crazy doctors call it post-traumatic stress.
I call it a disease that brings a man to his knees until the day he's laid to rest.
So I hide so I can't be caught crying so my teardrops mixes with rain.
I have scars you can't see buried deep within me it; the other side of pain.
