ghost of an addict
GHOST OF AN ADDICT (TITLE)
CASSIUS MCPHERSON
An empty shell of loneliness then you know you’re really sick.
When you see shadows in the window on the third floor those are ghosts of an addict.
Seeing images moving across the room and there's nobody there but you.
The sounds are haunting but the drugs you’re wanting and you know not what to do.
You’re seeing things that aren’t really there paranoia has taken control.
Your reality is shaken from the drugs your taken it’s about to take its toll.
Now you can’t believe it’s crushing you and you’re looking all skinny and sicky.
Then you look to your left and you’re all by yourself and you scream out
SHUT UP MICKY!!!!!!!
You’re walking back And forth to the window and each time the streets are clear.
Your eyes are like headlight and you can’t understand why your sweating and trembling in fear.
Now your all alone all your drugs are gone it’s so quite you can’t hear a peep.
Now you try to lie down after you’ve looked on the ground but the ghost won’t let you sleep.
My advise to you a this point my friend is do all you can to quit.
Or be stuck in the game He’ll be there with the pain in the shadows
