    The Lady No One Knows

As she walked by everyone stared

With a puzzled look in their eyes

Many that they knew she could be compared

But understand she’s one of a kind in her mind there’s no disguise

She is wearing clothes that people can identify her with through stereotypes

This is how society has taught the average person to think

With their heads in the air as if they were kites

In all reality they’re no different than she is they need to let that thought sink

She has a powerful and a classy demeanor although very few look for that

Because they only see the wall that she’s put up to protect her emotional state

She put up this wall so she would not be use as a door mat

Well, through her walk of life she hasn’t found many people she could trust as of late

There is a miss conception about her character in the work place

She keeps to herself only talking to those that do not judge her according to their own criteria

In some ways it’s like she’s on trial in front of a jury pleading her case

And all she’s doing is making sure the miss conception about her doesn’t spread like bacteria

An exciting and original work that sings the song of a great start as a poet, I thank-you for your poem.

Thank you for your positive feedback I am still learning.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
