The illumination supplied
By cheap preferences
Convenience
Mutual loathing
A sentimentally challenged embryo of friendship
The very basis of your formula is deprived
And filled instead with the failures that you've dragged around in life

And cut off all the hope you ever had in filling in
The hole, and every day it slowly grows
Less than inches, less than you can ever see
Until the day you end your life and struggle just to be
As true to yourself as you've enabled me
You'll die, but I won't grieve
Because the part of me that lives inside, is dead for you and me
And he
