To A Dear Friend
When I see your faceI can't quite recognize
The thoughts
The look you give
So careless
Apathetic
So perfectly thoughtless
Selfish
Useless to all, but
Saviour to the blind
They rush to you
Love you
Without words
Reasons
To justify them
The feeling I get
When I see what you're doing next
Next
I can't believe how foolish I have been
Because hope had died long before denial set in
Are you smarter than you appear
I often wonder
How, what
Would open you up
Willfully shallow, purposeful
Never bending to another's rule
I wish I knew what was wrong
With you
With me
I hate you, and I'll hate you until the very end
Because you wasted everything you've been blessed
Because you could
Because you were bored
You always break before you bend
I'll cut you off
Rest assured
I'll be happy while I do it
Cut out the cancer and be free again
I will be free again
Because your downward spiral is hurting me again
And I refuse to be diplomatic with your sin
I refuse to put myself in your skin
I refuse to let you know why
Just know this lasts until the end, until you die
Until I get to see
That you're truly dead
And then we can be at peace again
