The Good Fight
With trials come the temptations to feel discouraged, unable, unworthy.
The hurt overwhelms; the sensitivity to failure sneaks in like the enemy at war.
Desires to “throw in the towel” shatter potential hope.
Why bother trying if it isn’t going to work? Men all around are falling to their deaths.
This path may be well known; despair the comfortable lot. Isn’t it a given?
But, confidently I stand to say, “Be courageous and continue the fight!”
You may get bloody, bruised, wounded, nearly left for dead.
It is in the moment that one looks the battle in the eye that a solider is born.
In the moments of battle, charge for all that you believe in. Believe in yourself.
For when the dirt has settled, your clothes stained, your body fatigued, you became a hero.
It’s been said before that “Life is a journey”
Imagine the joys to come ahead, the strength acquired from hardships
Imagine compassion and help for others down the same path
The decision to not give up is not just for one benefit, but for all
It is in looking at the lives of others, we are encouraged…for this reason, prepare to fight hard!
