Poem Commentary

So small, a fleeting beat that goes unheard yet the pulsing of it's beauty entwines all under the vastness of a universe shared. td 2/10/2011

THE GENTLE HEARTBEAT OF A BUTTERFLY

To glide upon the rafters of a wind that carries, You soar

allowing the brilliance of color to cascade upon you like waves hitting the sands.

Flowing in a momentus beat as you are one....

The universe wrapping it's arms around the innocence that you possess.

The silent whispers of mother earth singing in your ear.

words need not be exchanged yet the message understood.

The fleeting memory of a closed and darkened world yet freedom unlocking your protective cloak.

Drift upon the land, float on a breeze, without worry, without thought, prejudice or pride

for beauty and grace is all that you know,

all that you are.

all that you were meant to be.

A beating heart so small yet holds the magic of a much greater wisom then any could fathom.

how one creature so small can hold secrets...

secrets that are sent to stars at night yet by day come back to sit upn the palms of your hand...

as a  small pulsing beat...

in a form of butterfly.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
