My forever after by Christina Doelitzsch copyright 2007

If I could collect a pebble for every tear that was shed.

I would be able to create an ocean, and never cry again.

If I could collect a single feather, from every bird in the sky

Then I could make myself a set of wings, and teach myself to fly

If I could take a grain of sand from deserts far and wide,

I could bury all the secrets, that my soul holds deep inside.

If I could catch a falling star and make every wish come true,

I'd place myself in the sky, so others could wish upon me too.

If I could squeeze every color out of the rainbows arch

I'd create my own reality, and unto destiny I'd march.

If I could capture imagination, and tell everyone a tale

I'd tell them to look within themselfs, and never ever fail.

If I could warm myself with laughter, and quilt a blanket made of love

then I could create my ever after, and snuggle with the clouds above.

If I only could do these things, the chains inside would fall

and my search  for ever after, would be  forever after all.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
