If the world were a picture

If the world were a picture I would paint it with peace
I would climb every mountain, I would scatter bits of me
I would sail all the oceans
I would spread all my love
if the world were a picture, I would share what I've done

If the sky were a canvas
my palette would be taken from the rainbows hue
and I would paint a perfect life and I would give it all to you
then out of my pocket id pull out a smile
and sit with your laughter like the innocence of a child

If a mountain was my daydream
I would make sure each day to climb
no matter how long it took
no matter how much time
till I reached the top and grabbed a wish, maybe two
and I would hang on to one and give the other to you

If the ocean was my heart, so vast and so pure
I would sail upon it's waters and allow the waves to knock on my door
It would beat out a rhythm and weave out a sail
as I floated upon its beauty, and followed its watery trail

If the sun was my soul it would warm up the land
shining its glory, showing all that I am
but all these things I would wish for would mean nothing without the love
the one I hold dear, the one from above
who granted me a life with what makes my heart beat
who gathers the very air that allows me to breathe
and who has given me a gift beyond compare
creating memories out of rainbows
and painting pictures out of air...

for sailing on uncharted waters, for warming me with the sun
for giving me my mountain where my wishes could be cast upon
for making me smile, for allowing my soul to sail free
all these things
that makes up the very essence of me.
